Membership
Samui Expats Club membership is open to all nationalities. Expats and Thais, residents and visitors - all are invited to join. You need not be a member to attend the monthly ‘Expat Party’ and guests are welcome. A discounted rate is applied to members’ entry fee, thus your membership fee is returned to you through attendance at the ‘Expat Parties’.
Club Member Form
To join the Samui Expats Club download and print the member application– or complete your application at the monthly ‘Expats party. Membership is a very inexpensive 500 Baht for calendar year 2007.
Club Benefits
Samui Expats Club benefits are tangible and intangible. Your membership fee is assigned to the Club’s ‘Children’s Charity’ and contributions are presented during the year to specific organisations that have been carefully researched for needs. You will meet the teachers and directors of schools and organisations that are helped by Club donations. Your membership will help the Club to meet the needs of disadvantaged children and youth of Koh Samui.
Club Charity Projects
- ‘Student Library’ at Koh Samui Secondary School – 20,000 Bt. donation
- ‘Book Drive’ – help furnish & meet library needs
- ‘Christmas Charity Dinner’ – co-sponsored with Central Samui Beach Resort’s ‘Zico’s’ restaurant. Percentage of F&B to purchase of 25 computers to assist students in studies and enrich their lives
- ‘Christmas Gift Giving’ project – collection of gifts distributed to 1,000+ island children. 100-200 Bt. value (gift) or 200 Bt. per child cash donation.
Club Member Fees:
Monthly ‘Expats Party’ - The Club brings expats together in a monthly social setting to have fun, to share information (and advice before an expensive mistake is made), to network and to enjoy meeting other expats and Thais in a casual and ‘laid-back’ atmosphere. Guests enjoy free wine during the ‘Hosted Wine Reception’ and member’s entry fee is discounted by 50 Bt. Additionally, 50 Bt of every event entry fee is assigned to the ‘Club Children’s Charity’.
